Having a healthy baby begins before a woman becomes pregnant. Studies have shown that maternal obesity, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, smoking and more can have a negative impact on delivery and health of the infant. Exercise is important as it allows a woman to be in better physical condition to have a healthy delivery.
Exercise also releases endorphins which allow for a better mood, more energy and positive thoughts. A proper diet is important as it allows for proper growth of the fetus. Studies have also shown that flavors can travel through the breast milk to infants and in turn affect the infant’s preference of tastes. Women need a well balance diet to also allow for proper nutrients to go through the placenta to baby while still in the womb. And last but not least positive thoughts are very beneficial to maintain women in a good spirit, good health and prepare her and her unborn child for a successful delivery.
